New gene therapy for congenital deafness

With up to 3 in 1,000 newborns having hearing loss in one or both ears, and cochlear implants offering remarkable hope for some, researchers have found a way to restore OROF related deafness in toddlers and young adults with a form of gene therapy.

Weak grip shows more

What is Eosinophilic Esophagitis? (EoE)

A condition that affects the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach, EoE is triggered by genetics, immune and external factors. According to Food Allergy Canada, it can develop at any age in both adults and children and is often accompanied by other allergic conditions such as asthma, seasonal allergies, eczema, seasonal allergies and IgE mediate food allergies. Symptoms range from difficulty and mild discomfort when swallowing to painful feelings when food goes down.
