More Visitors, More Participation!

January, 2000, was the best month yet for traffic to the EnableLink website! In this month the website received over 103,000 hits. The top three provinces using the site were Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, respectively. Keep on coming -- things are only going to get better!

NEWS & EVENTS
One reason for the steady increase in traffic is that visitors have come to appreciate the continual uploading of News and Events. Send us yours, and we’ll include you in the listing. We post all sorts of events, announcements, calls for submission, items for sale, help wanted info, and business opportunities. If you haven’t had a chance to check out what everybody’s talking about, point and click your mouse in our direction!

RESOURCES
Another reason for increased traffic is that people are rapidly realizing that searching through our database gets them the answers they are looking for, fast! You can find disability-related organizations, links, employment service organizations, and more. If you are bumping against walls and can’t seem to get an answer to a disability-related question, try us!

LIBRARY
Our plans for EnableLink this year include continuing to expand our Library of disability-related books. You can help -- if there is a particular book that you feel others should know about, please e-mail the title, author, publisher and subject to us at ask@enablelink.org. Your participation will make this resource richer!

COMMUNICATION CENTRE
EnableLink thanks Joanne Smith and Doug Caldwell for hosting the Moving On chat in our Communication Centre on January 17. The event was a great success, and some good ideas were discussed for upcoming shows. Thanks also to those who came online to share their thoughts. The event went so well that Joanne and Doug have agreed to get together with everyone in the EnableLink chat room once again! Catch them Wednesday, March 22, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., EST -- and watch for Moving On later this year on TVOntario!
