Congratulations to Dr. Mickey Milner of Toronto, who this year received an honourary Doctor of Science from Queen’s University.

At the Queen’s University convocation, Dr. Milner was described as “a leader and a visionary who, during his 25 years as director of biomedical engineering at today’s Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre, created an international reputation with a trademark child- and family-centred approach.” The honourary Doctorate of Science is the university’s highest award.
Dr. Milner is currently the managing director of the Health Technology Exchange (HTX), an online resource to support companies, organizations and institutions that are involved with the medical and assistive technology industry.
