101 Ideas to Nurture Belonging: Ideas 40-50

11 More Ideas to end isolation and loneliness (Followed by a short animation depicting how inclusive ideas can have more benefits than you'd expect.):
40. Talk with the people I meet in coffee shops about today’s discussion.
41. Introduce a person who is vulnerable to isolation to a friend with similar interests.
42. Survey people who live on your street about their interests and skills, and share the results at a street party/local coffee shop where people can connect re: their interests.
43. Write and donate an article to your local newspaper.
44. Write letters to your editors of your local paper.
45. Write articles, share stories and resources for the Belonging Initiative website and other websites that you like.
46. To make a film about what belonging is and market it to a broad audience.
47. Contact CACL about your movie and have them share it at a conference.
48. Check out places that are “natural” connecting places in the neighbourhood with an eye to researching what makes it happen…share your findings.
49. Choose to be friends with someone you like whose challenges might scare you.
50. The National Film Board of Canada is there to, ‘document our history and our change.’ Approach them to capture the end of isolation moments.
